Post For Honor Continues to Get Updates and New Content
Ubisoft is leaning in hard on April Fools' Day gags this year in both historical melee-action game For Honor and tactical shooter Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. A new event available for 24 hours in For Honor brings Rabbids to the otherwise deadly serious action game. Players will be able to fight against and fight alongside Raving Rabbids, who are decked out in the armor of knights, samurai, and vikings, but armed with plungers and toilet brushes. For Honor's Rabbids-themed mini-event began at midnight ET on April 1 and will end at the same time on April 2. Players who take part in the April Fools' Day event will receive a melee pack as a reward.

This surprising and silly event is part of the Year of the Harbinger, For Honor's self-titled third year of content. Like other Ubisoft live service games like Rainbow Six Siege and Ghost Recon Wildlands, For Honor continues to get updates and new content throughout the year including new maps, special events, and hero characters. Earlier this year, the new character called The Black Prior joined the roster, which was then followed by a special in-game event. Ubisoft has promised much more content and updates to come as 2019 rolls forward.

While normally a hellish day filled with corporations toying with hearts, April Fools has some perks, like this week's Rainbow Is Magic event in Rainbow Six Siege. Ubisoft have given the Plane map in the gritty tactical squad-shooter a Lisa Frank makeover. Hot pink unicorn and butterfly-themed operators and a handful of hard plastic toy soldiers fight for control of the VIP (Very Important Plushie), as you do. This event runs for a whole week, up until April 8th, and there's a collection of hot pink-with-sparkles gear to permanently earn. Below, a trailer for this gleeful nonsense. Sadly this event is limited to a special playlist with one map and a subset of playable operators, but they've clearly put in a lot of time and effort into making the aesthetic consistent.

Ubisoft has an April Fools' Day reputation to uphold. Not merely satisfied with sending Rabbids into For Honor for 24 hours, they've decided to give Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege players an event running for an entire week. No, there's no Rabbids. Yes, there is rainbows and unicorns, because Rainbow is Magic.

April Fools' Day is dreaded by gaming journalists every year because a lot of fake games and other modes are announced. Sometimes, they seem so real that you can't tell the difference. However, once in a while you get an April Fools' Day joke and actual mode rolled into one. That's what happened today with For Honor. For Honor is a third-person fighting game where you have to utilize skillful combat to dispatch foes. The title focuses on a number of historical warriors like the Vikings and Samurai, as they fight for resources in an alternate reality. Aside from providing a short single-player campaign, the multiplayer modes are robust and present quite the challenge. Finally, to enjoy all the features in the game, players can Buy FH Steel Credits from Mmocs at a reasonable price.
