Tytuł:  Anthem Update Fixes Accidental Loot Buff

If you’re following the loot saga of Anthem, you might have begun to suspect that nothing BioWare could do would actually make everyone happy. Nevertheless, the studio patched its seemingly struggling looter-shooter today with a tiny server-side update that it characterizes as “notable changes to the loot drop rate.”

According to Kotaku, when the bug was first discovered, players went to Reddit to ask BioWare to keep the changes in the game. The bug might have stuck around for a bit longer too, but Patch 1.0.3--which was originally scheduled to go live March 9--surprisingly went up a day early. "We're dropping the new [Anthem] patch ahead of schedule so you can all benefit from the updates and fixes, including improved stability on all platforms," EA said in a tweet. And unfortunately for those who were enjoying the increased drop rate for Masterwork and Legendary items, the update just happened to patch the bug as well.

One of the key complaints regarding the difficulty levels in Anthem was that GM 2 and GM 3 were not worth the effort. With “spongier” enemies that deal high damage, the time to complete an activity at that level was much longer but the drops didn’t seem much better than GM 1. Now, players should be better incentivized to increase the difficulty in the hopes of obtaining better loot. Best and Cheapest Anthem Boosting For Sale - Mmocs.com.

Anthem just keeps trying to fix its loot problems before any of its bigger issues, though, whether it be through increased drop rates, shrinking the endgame loot pools, or buffing the impact of the game's high-end items. The result has been consistent with the golden rule of Anthem patches, so far: whenever something is fixed, two things must break in its place. Players are understandably frustrated. The simmering problem boiling underneath these loot fixes, though, is Anthem's core problem: it just doesn't want to give people what they want.

Anthem will be adding Legendary Missions and Elysian Caches in March, the latter providing cosmetic rewards from Strongholds. April promises to be a lot busier with the Shaper Surge event in Freeplay, a new Stronghold called “The Sunken”, more Legendary Missions, Leaderboards, the Mastery System and much more. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.

This is one of the incremental loot updates that will continue coming to Anthem, though BioWare will also be making more “significant changes” to the loot systems in the coming months. A previous loot update removed uncommon (white) and common (green) items from level 30 drop tables.
