Tytuł:  Half of Anthem Players have Quit the Game

You don't need me to tell you that Anthem, BioWare's lambasted looter shooter that didn't so much as launch in February as it did faceplant straight into the recesses of mediocrity, is struggling to stay afloat right now. BioWare hasn't revealed any official stats about the game's current userbase, though it did sell impressively in its first week, but a new player-run survey conducted through Reddit provides a clearer, yet somewhat disconcerting snapshot of Anthem's health two months after release.

According to a player-run survey posted on Reddit, over half of respondents have quit playing Anthem for good. It’s no secret that Anthem could have had a better launch, with the game quickly falling out of game charts, and players being generally unhappy with the state of the game at launch. Oh, and not to mention the damning report from Kotaku which has caused friction between players and BioWare.

When the survey asked players, “How would you rate the current loot system for Anthem?” 55.8% of those surveyed answered with a 1, meaning over half of the people who took the survey ranked Anthem‘s most important element, the loot system, as a 1 out of 5. 29.4% of those surveyed rated Anthem‘s loot system a 2 out of 5, 12.6% gave the loot system a 3, 1.8% rated the loot system at a 4, and 0.5% rated the loot system a 5. This is not a good sign considering the game’s core gameplay loop relies on players hunting down loot. Best and Cheapest Anthem Boosting For Sale - Mmocs.com.

For a game that relies on keeping players engaged and playing, it paints a bleak picture. When asked what they would change about the game, a lot of players asked for more content of every type, including story content, endgame content, Legendaries, enemy types, weather systems, NPCs, wildlife, a bigger map, and a more dynamic sandbox. However, the most common answer involved changes to the loot system. BioWare was still making changes to the loot system as recently as last week, and now the developer is even looking to recruit a new Senior Systems Designer to specialise in Loot Systems and work on the game.

The troubling survey results don't stop there, however. When asked about the future of Anthem, a whopping 79% said it's "concerning", "not looking good at all", or "horrible". You can see all of the survey results through here. It's difficult to say what the future holds for Anthem. We've said this before, but realistically, it's going to take nothing short of a miracle from BioWare to set the game straight. Whether the developer will be given the time or the resources to do so, however, remains to be seen.
